~ 18 years of grinding in Bangladesh's capital markets —
from product development to block deals and portfolio desks to digital trading platforms and Research to
Innovation to Strategies...
Now focusing on: building FINTECH solutions to Democratize Capital Markets of Bangladesh through code and passion.
I'm AKM Fazlay Rabby — First Vice President & Head of Research & Investment at City Brokerage Limited. I've spent nearly one and a half decades across Bangladesh's capital markets: research, portfolio management, banking, and now — the intersection of markets and machines.
My edge has always been treating the market as a data problem: building frameworks others trust, surfacing signals others miss, and delivering analysis that moves decisions — not just decks.
Today I lead a team of research analysts while driving a parallel agenda: automating the workflows that still run on spreadsheets and gut feel — using Python, AI, and serious data infrastructure.
BBA from North South University. MBA (Finance) from University of Dhaka.

NexTor — Inter-University Investment Competition
25+ Universities · 900+ StudentsBangladesh's first nationwide, real-time inter-university investment simulation competition — conceptualised and driven under CBL's banner. University students compete live on actual market data, making buy/sell decisions in real time under competitive pressure. Built to bridge the gap between academia and the capital market, and grow the next generation of Bangladesh's investor base from campus up.
NexTor 2.0 — Bigger. Broader. Live.
30+ Universities · 1200+ StudentsThe second edition of NexTor — expanded reach, sharper execution, and deeper market integration.
